Joan Roth Photo Slideshow Joan Roth is an internationally acclaimed photographer who seeks, in her work, to portray "the universal strength and beauty of Jewish women." She is the publisher of "Jewish Women: A World of Tradition & Change" and "The Jews of Ethopia," which captures the lives of the disappearing Ethopian Jewish community and their reunification with Israel. She has documented Jewish women's art, activism, and religious practice in America for over the last 30 years, and we're honored to be able to include a selection of her work in this issue of the Scholar & Feminist Online.
