Meryleen Mena

Meryleen Mena is an anthropologist and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College, a Doctoral degree in Cultural Anthropology, and a Graduate Certificate in Women and Gender Studies. She is currently a Mellon/ACLS Public Service Fellow at the Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York . In this role, she educates, engages, and mobilizes New Yorkers to build public support for budgetary allocations that prioritize child and family well-being as well as youth in the juvenile justice system.
