Jonathan P. Eburne

Jonathan P. Eburne is Josephine Berry Weiss Early Career Professor in the Humanities and Assistant Professor of Comparative Literature and English at Penn State University. He specializes in the study of surrealism and the international avant-garde, and has published essays on Chester Himes, Marcel Duchamp, and William Burroughs, in addition to numerous essays on surrealism. He is co-editor of a recent special issue of Modern Fiction Studies entitled “Paris, Modern Fiction, and the Black Atlantic.” His book, Surrealism and the Art of Crime, is forthcoming from Cornell University Press in 2008.
