Heather Shattuck-Heidorn
Heather Shattuck-Heidorn is an assistant professor of women’s and gender studies at the University of Southern Maine and is a co-assistant director of Harvard’s GenderSci Lab. Her research focuses on understanding how gender and other aspects of our social environments shape human biology, especially in regard to immune function and chronic disease risk. Her current projects include the use of large data sets to recover the effects of gender and ongoing community-based work among Maine’s refugee populations.
