Aviva Helena Neff

Dr. Aviva Neff is a rustbelt artist-scholar-educator with an expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion in the arts. Dr. Neff is an experienced director, playwright, and intimacy choreographer who enjoys working in devised theatre and theatre for social change. She is an ensemble member  with Teatro Travieso, with whom she recently premiered her solo performance, Blood,  Earth, Water. Dr. Neff’s publications include research on race and social media, performances of mixed-Black identity during reconstruction-era New Orleans, and identifying inclusive performance pedagogies. Dr. Neff is the Director of Youth and Community Learning at Columbus College of Art and Design and an adjunct faculty member with Otterbein University Department of Theatre and Dance.
